    Do I need to book in advance?

    YES! We always recommend to book to avoid disappointment. Especially holidays and weekends which are our peak time and tend to book out very quickly.

    Is there a minimum number of people needed to book?

    No, our arrive and drive 25 minute sessions are open have no minimum number so you can come by yourself. Our GP and Championship formats are private events and minimum group sizes apply.

    Are deposits refundable?

    No, deposits are not refundable, but you can move your booking to a different date in certain circumstances or when enough notice is given.

    Do I need to arrive in advance of my booking?

    Yes, you will need to sign-on, go through your driver’s briefing and get your safety gear before going on track. We ask all groups to arrive AT LEAST 30 MINUTES prior to their booking.

    What happens if I am late?

    If you are too late you will miss your session without refund. While we will do our best to accommodate late comers we will not delay past a point that would impact on our next booking.

    Do I need previous experience or a drivers licence?

    NO! No drivers licence or prior experience is needed, you will receive a briefing on how to operate a kart safely prior to going out on circuit. Should you have any other questions or be nervous in any way our staff are happy to answer any queries you may have.

    Is there a minimum age or height?

    Yes, the minimum age for all rental karting sessions is strictly 14 years old and a minimum height of 152cm also applies. It can’t be one or the other drivers must fit both criteria to take part in rental sessions. Different rules apply for those with their own race karts.

    What should I wear?

    We advise casual clothes with bottoms, getting your racing suit on over a dress could be tricky! No open toe shoes or high heels allowed so please bring your flats, preferably runners!

    What if it rains?

    We uniquely get our name from the river the circuit is built across and we have great drainage as a result! Compared to other outdoor circuits we very rarely have to cancel any booking due to weather circumstances. We provide full wetsuits but advise customers to bring a change of clothes if bad weather is forecast!

    Can I have a few drinks before driving?

    Absolutely NOT, we operate a 0 tolerance policy for alcohol and other intoxicants. If you turn up to the circuit and one or more of your group is seen drinking alcohol or appears under the influence of another substance it may result in your entire group being asked to leave without refund!

    Are you open weekends and holidays?

    Yes! Weekends and holiday periods are our peak time, on weekends and bank holidays we have extended opening times with the track open from 9am – 7pm (or sunset).

    Is 25 minutes enough time on track?

    Trust us, when you come back off the circuit after your 25 minute session you will be tired! We do on occasion run longer sessions for experienced karters only, you can check availability and pricing for these over the phone via: 041 981 9100.

    How many people can drive at once?

    Our European standard 1.2km International circuit can fit up to 24 drivers at a time in rental karting sessions!

    Can I bring my own Helmet, gloves etc?

    Yes, all we ask is that they meet the required basic standard for European motorcycle helmets. Full face bicycle style helmets are not permitted, no open face helmets and if you have a Motocross helmet you must wear goggles.

    Can we act like it's a bumper car ride?

    Absolutely NOT! Karting is a non contact sport and we offer our customers an opportunity for a “Real Kart Racing Experience” do not confuse this with low speed indoor karting. We have a 0 tolerance policy for careless driving and intentional contact.

    Can you guarantee my group exclusive use of the track?

    For larger groups doing the GP, Championship or custom formats you will be the only group on track in your sessions. For smaller groups doing open formats we can’t guarantee you will be the only group on circuit without paying to fill up the extra track capacity.

    Can I bring my own kart?

    Yes, our circuit was created to host Irish and International race kart meetings and meets all relevant safety standards. You can find information on upcoming test days on our social media channels or by calling us via: 041 981 9100.

    *Note: Rental karts and race karts are NOT allowed on circuit at the same time.

    What other amusements do you have onsite?

    At the moment we don’t offer any other activities, put keep an eye out on our website and social media channels, we have some plans for the not so distant future!

    Do you have food onsite?

    While we don’t have hot food or sandwiches etc. on site, we do have a limited selection of snacks, and soft drinks as well as our freshly ground “Essence Coffee” for customers to enjoy.
